Charity to Phnom Chambang Primary School, 9 March 2020

On March 7-9, 2020, Dewey International University students joined a camping event led by Dr. Meas Nee, a research professor at DIU, under the theme "Self Love and Sharing Love" at Phnom Chambang Village, Plov Meas Commune, Rattanak Mondol District, Battambang Province. The event aims to build students' capacity in team work, knowing yourself, and knowledge in agriculture.

During this event, students visited Phnom Chambang Primary School to distribute stationery to 128 students. The school lies to the south of the Battambang-Pailin highway in a poor area near Samlot District. The children were very appreciative of the gifts given to them by the DIU students. Sincere thanks to the donors, Ms. Pen Kimyear, Mr. Ham Arun, Mr. Kun Chhay, Mr. Sok Kimsay, Ms. Oum Vorleak and other generous people who have contributed to help our young rural students.

Charity to Peamta Primary School, 5 March 2020

Dewey International University students studying Philosophy and Society with lecturer Thay Sovannpitou visited Peam Ta Primary School to distribute stationery items to 97 students. The school is located at Outreng village, Tatouk commune, Samlot district, Battambang province.

This remote area, at the far south end of Samlot District, is one of the most beautiful spots in Cambodia, in the midst of mountains, forests, and rivers. The primary school is very disadvantaged, located in a poor area with little access to markets. The DIU students were highly pleased with their results.

Special thanks to the students of Dewey International School and Dewey International University for their donations to help our rural young students.
