Dewey International University has been establishing relationships with many foreign universities, especially in the United States. Within the next five months, three visits are planned from American universities.
The founders of DIU understand that exchanges of students and professors with American universities can be expensive and difficult to arrange. However, there is a growing number of English-language universities of international standard in the Asia-Pacific region, where exchanges can be cheap and easy to arrange. For example, for a student to travel to Thailand costs only the price of a bus ticket, while an exchange program in America costs well over 1000 dollars in airfare. With this in mind, the founders of DIU have set up programs in neighboring countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. We plan to have both short-term and long-term volunteer professors from these countries within the next few months.
