John Zepp was nearing completion of his Ph.D. in chemistry when he developed skin cancer and died about one year later. Before his death, he asked that a Foundation be set up to aid unfortunate children. It is in the remembrance of John Zepp, therefore, that the Fund is offering scholarships to deserving young people to attend Dewey International University in Battambang, Cambodia.
Scholarships are for the following types of study:
1. Employment-oriented Diploma Courses beginning Feb. 24, 2010.
Same conditions as for Foundation Year. Since diploma courses will begin in February, 2010, there will be many scholarships for the first terms or first year. However, when Foundation Year courses begin in October, 2010, priority will be given to Foundation Year scholarships, so that there will be only a few Diploma scholarships available after October, 2010.
2. Foundation Year (Year I) courses at DIU beginning October, 2010
Full-time study. A full-time program normally costs $100 per term, or 360 for the entire 4-term year of study. A student on scholarship would pay half this amount, that is, $50 per term or $180 per year.
